The story which I meant in the November 9th post.
---
Your village was flooded. The water level rises up till it’s almost reaching the roof level. No, it was just below the roof level. A rescue boat came, and everyone in this village was rescued by those rescuers. Everyone. Every single one of them. Except you.
You told them that you knew that God would save you. You refused to get into the boat. Fine then. Off they went. No one else was out there. Yeah, only you. Sitting on the roof. All alone. Knowing that the Lord would rescue you. You prayed hard. You were waiting for Him, quietly, patiently. You were waiting.
Waiting.
Waiting.
Okay so then suddenly, you heard something. You saw a rescue boat. Again. Rescuers were inside, reaching out their hands towards you. You still refused to get into the rescue boat, as you know the Lord will come and rescue you. They persuaded you to get in. They waited for a ‘yes’ from you. Over and over again, you said ‘no’. And so finally, off went the rescue boat. Without you. No one was left. And again, you sat on the roof, waiting, all alone.
The rain got heavier and heavier, and the water level rises. The water level had already reached about just inches below the very top of the roof which you were on. You were standing straight up. Still, waiting for the Lord to come and rescue you. Suddenly, there came a helicopter. Having the same reason as the rescuers just now, those people in the helicopter were trying to save you. They threw down the rope ladder, asked you to get onto the helicopter that instant. You shook your head. You told them that you don’t need any help from them, as God would come and save you. You told them to go away. You refused to get up to that helicopter. Those people could not wait any longer. Sadly, they went off after some time, without you.
Now it’s raining more and more heavily. The water level kept rising up and just within a short while, it is above your head. And so, there goes your precious life. Very unfortunately, you died.
The fortunate thing is that you went up to heaven. You saw God. You blamed God for not saving your life. You blamed God for not rescuing you. You wanted an explanation from Him. You wanted to know why didn’t He rescue you. But He told you that He did.
God often helps us in many ways, sends messages to us through someone else, yet we just cannot see that. And in the end, we blame God. We lose faith in God. We do not trust Him anymore.
Why do such things happen? Why people just don’t see things? Why don’t we blame ourselves but blame God?
I WANT ANSWERS.
Sometimes we just don’t see things happening. Sometimes we just don’t understand. God is always out there trying to help us, yet we do not know that. Sometimes He’s telling us something, but we just do not listen. Sometimes He’s trying to help us, but we just do not trust Him. Sometimes it’s not God who doesn’t want to save us, but it’s our own selves.
It did happened to me.When I got my results back, I almost gave up everything. Sorry Lord, I'm really really sorry. And thanks for always being by my side. =)
JessMinn loves Jesus, always and forever.
